The project consisted of a 22,500 square foot, two-story building addition to their existing 28,000 square foot facility. The new addition provided space for new classrooms, a library, multi-purpose room, computer room and an entry lobby.

AKF Engineers provided the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) design services for the project.

The building incorporated many elements of 'green' design, such as: Proper siting, Efficient Envelope Construction, Heat - Recovery Ventilation system, Concrete Construction, Glazing by Orientation, Geothermal Heat Pumps and a Condensing Boiler connected to a Radiant slab, maximum natural daylighting, high-efficiency auto-shutoff fixtures, and careful materials selection utilizing non-VOC and durable finishes throughout such as the ceiling tiles, flooring and wall coverings.
